Maybe we are sick, or just horrible people... because we cannot get enough of “Retarded Policemen.” These comedy shorts, created by Mediocre Films, follow the silly-brain antics of a policeman with Down Syndrome.

Many viewers have expressed their disgust saying the show is exploitative and unfairly pokes fun at a serious hereditary disease. The main character is played by Josh the “Ponceman” Perry who actually has Down Syndrome. He says he is fully aware of his actions and has serious aspirations of acting professionally.

Before you leave mean comments, just know that our friend Ponce (the Cop) is an awesome and talented young dude who loves performing and making light of his Down syndrome. He's a smart and funny guy, and has complete awareness of his actions and decisions. And we all had an awesome time shooting "Retarded Policeman!"

Does this make it ok to laugh at? Are we laughing at Josh or at we laughing at Down Syndrome?
The creators seem to think there is nothing wrong with it and Josh looks like he’s having a blast, so screw it... this all the proof I need to laugh without guilt. If that’s not enough for you, they have a number of responses including this one. (Also a funny Tropic Thunder response here)
